Instructions

Step 1: Cut & paste the wings

Fold one A4 sheet of coloured card in half and cut out a large heart shape - this will transform into the butterfly wings.

Glue the two bottom ends of the heart together using Bostik PVA white Glu to create a sturdy base and leave to dry for several minutes.

Step 2: Make the body

Once your wings are dry, use the peg to secure the wings together, forming the butterfly's body.

Step 3: Decorate the wings

Use your second sheet of coloured card to cut out fun shapes: hearts, circles, tiny wings, spots - anything!

You can also add pens, pencils, or paints for extra flair to mimic real 3D paper butterflies.

Tacky's tip

Children can arrange them however they like, giving their peg butterfly craft its own personality.

STEP 4: Create Antennae

Cut two pieces of paper into strips, then glue them to the upper part of the peg in order to create the antennae for the butterfly.

STEP 5: Add Googly Eyes

Glue the googly eyes just below the antennae.

STEP 6: Cut circles for antennae

Cut out two small circles and glue it on the top of the antennae.

STEP 7: Add Smile

Use your colour marker to draw on a smile.

FAQ test

Can I use Blu Glu stick with my photos?

Bostik Blu Glu stick is acid-free so it is safe to use with your photos.

Can I use Foam Pads on mirrors?

Yes - you can use our double sided sticky pads for mirrors. Bostik Foam Pads are acid and lignin-free meaning they will not mark or stain a mirrored surface.

Can you repair leather with super glue?

You should only use Bostik Leather Repair glue to repair your damaged leather or imitation leather. The unique formula of the adhesive provides important flexibility to ensure a long-lasting, strong, water-resistant bond so that your repair remains intact for years to come.

Super glues do not provide the necessary flexibility that leather requires for an effective repair.

Do I need a super glue gel or a super glue liquid?

A super glue liquid has a low viscosity, meaning the liquid flows easily. This type of formula is great for filling horizontal surface cracks and fractures where the adhesive can flow into the cracks. We have three types available: Super Glue Liquid, Super Glue Easy Flow and Fix & Glue Liquid.

A super glue gel has a higher viscosity, making it less 'runny' and less likely to drip. Gels are ideal for vertical application and for porous surfaces and tend to be easier to apply as they are harder to spill. For this purpose we have Super Glue Non-Drip Gel available.

Do I need to replace my dehumidifier regularly?

Bostik Breathe is a reusable dehumidifier and will function effectively for years when regularly replaced with dehumidifier refill tablets. Refills last up to 4 months depending on the humidity levels in the area.

Do I need to rinse the surface after application?

No, simply apply the product and let it dry. The green growth will loosen and can be left for the rain to wash it away. Alternatively, brushing the loose material or hosing it down is possible after a period of 24 hours.

Does Blu Glu stick dry as a blue colour?

Bostik Blu Glu stick is a great way to show you where you've applied your glue, but it actually dries totally clear!

Does PVA white Glu dry clear?

Yes - Bostik PVA white Glu applies white from the bottle and once dry, is clear.
